Environmental Policy

At Greenmetrics we consider the environmental and social impacts of all our business decisions.

Our ethos is to ensure a net positive benefit from the existence of the business, from what we do and the way we do business to what we do with our profits.

We look to recognised standards and innovative best practice in our suppliers and partners, and wherever possible we support local businesses.

Office equipment and supplies are selected by researching the best environmental option considering materials, energy use and end-of-life disposability.

Energy use is tracked, and we make sure we are doing all we can to avoid wasting energy. We promote the use of renewable energy.

We walk or cycle if working locally, or use public transport. We use public transport for longer distances, and only use the car as a last resort.

We reduce waste wherever we can by thinking first before purchase, use or printing. We select products that have minimum packaging. We follow local guidelines to optimise recycling.

We set aside time each week, and a proportion of our profit each year to support local groups practically and financially (The Sussex Wildlife Trust and the Martlets Hospice, Hove).

We play a positive role in the business community by participating in groups and sharing good business practice.

We review our policy every year to make sure we keep up to date with current knowledge.
