At Greenmetrics we consider the environmental and social impacts of all our business decisions.
We are committed to compliance with environmental legislation as a minimum; preventing pollution and continuous improvement of our own and our clients’ environmental and wider corporate sustainability performance.
Our ethos is to ensure a net positive benefit from the existence of the business, from what we do and the way we do business.
We look to recognised standards and innovative best practice in our suppliers and partners, and support local businesses and social enterprises.
Office equipment and supplies are selected by researching the best environmental option considering materials, energy use and end-of-life disposability.
Energy use is tracked, and we make sure we are doing all we can to avoid wasting energy. We promote the use of renewable energy.
We walk or cycle if working locally, or use public transport. We use public transport for longer distances, and only use the car as a last resort.
We reduce waste wherever we can by thinking first before purchase, use or printing. We select products that have minimum packaging. We support local re-use schemes and follow local guidelines to optimise recycling.
We play a positive role in the business community by participating in relevant groups and sharing good business practice (currently the Green Growth Platform Business Forum and Forum for the Future’s Future Shapers Network); and in the wider community, volunteering weekly at the Moulsecoomb Forest Garden and Wildlife Project.
We review our policy every year to make sure we keep up to date with current knowledge.
